Fresco Gelateria

Fresco Gelateria is a small gelato shop located in the East Village of NYC. Known for their attention to detail and fresh flavors, Fresco Gelateria has some of the most delicious gelato I have ever tasted! "After six years of owning and operating a gelateria in Athens, Greece, brother and sister, Ilias and Venetia, bring to NY their passion for classic Italian gelato," and I think everyone can agree it was a brilliant idea.

I discovered this place thanks to another NYC Food Tour. We were able to sample a few of these tasty flavors like coconut, strawberry and chocolate. I don't even like coconut but I loved this!

With a funky list of flavors, there is something for even the pickiest eater. Some of the flavors include Salted Caramel, Rose Water, Goat Cheese, Vanilla Bean and Peanut Butter. Fresco's also serves up freshly baked pastries and assorted espresso based drinks. Their products are simple but amazingly executed and you should probably head on over now.

Fresco Gelateria is located at 138 2nd avenue NY, NY 10003. Expect to pay for quality, because you're worth it!

Frozen S'More at Dominique Ansel Bakery

Do you have a hankerin' for campfire s'mores but you can't get out of Manhattan? Fortunately, it's 2013 and we live in a city of very innovative foodies, so these days if you need a s'more look no futher than Spring Street. Oh, and did I mention the twist? They're frozen!

First Dominique Ansel Bakery took NYC by storm with the Cronut (croissant and donut mixed pastry), and now they have done it again with the Frozen S'More. This sweet invention is made up of marshmallow, vanilla ice cream and chocolate wafers all frozen together, then torched to perfection.

Time Out Magazine has named this the "Dish of the Moment" and I completely agree! You can get your hands on one at 189 Spring Street NY, NY for around $6.

S'Mores aren't your thing? No big deal. Dominique Ansel Bakery has plenty of other enticing options to choose from. Check out their full menu here.

The days of summer are winding down, so get your summer Frozen S'More before they are gone. On the bright side, I can't wait to see what fabulous creation they come up with for fall. Frozen S'Mores for life!

Brunch at Clinton Street Baking Company and Restaurant

Clinton Street Baking Company and Restaurant has been voted "Best Pancakes" by New York Magazine two times! But lets not get it twisted, this place is much more than just a pancake joint.

In 2001, husband and wife team Neil Kleinberg and DeDe Lahman, began a journey to be known as having the best baked goods in the city that were hand-mixed in small batches. Today they have most definitely achieved their goal and the success tastes so, so sweet. So sweet in fact, their customer are willing to wait for the goods. The normal wait time for brunch on a Saturday morning is a few hours...and people do it with no hesitation.

When you walk into the tiny restaurant, you see the kitchen and everyone that works in it, all the patrons enjoying their food, the freshly bakes goods in the small case and the employees who look really thrilled to be at work. The case in the front contains all kinds of yummy goodness such as: muffins, cakes, pies, scones, cornbread, etc.

The Brunch, lunch and dinner menu consists of many mouthwatering options like Pancakes with Warm Maple Butter, Clinton Street Omelette and the Fried Chicken Sandwich. For a first-timer like myself deciding what to order was a really tough decision. Luckily, my friend Angela was along for the journey and we shared the Fried Chicken Sandwich and Brioche French Toast.

So let me guess...this all sounds fantastic but you don't have time for a 2 hour wait for brunch? No problem Clinton Street Bakery delivers. They also have takeout and a fabulous way to pre-order cakes and pies for your next event.

Clinton Street Baking Company and Restaurant is located at 4 Clinton Street NY, NY 10002. For more information visit their website here.

TNT Pizza

So, check it out folks; not only do I love food but so does my family. So much so that one of my family members decided to open up a pizza shop. Oh, and did I mention that he's only 21. TNT Wings and Pizza is my second cousin Dean's shop located in York, PA. They have so many delicious things on the menu but they also have monthly events. Check it all out here.

Their menu is HUGE. They cook up everything from wings, friend chicken and crabs to traditional pizza shop fare like Stromboli, pizza and pasta. Now, let me show you a few of my favorite things on the menu.
Hand cut fries. Yum!
Fried oyster sandwich.
Pretzel Stromboli.
Dean is the man!
