Have a Fiesta at Tacombi

Tacombi makes me feel like I have stepped back in time. When I was there I felt like I was living inside the movie Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights and it was awesome.

Tacombi serves up traditional Mexican breakfast, lunch and dinner. The portions are small but that's alright with me because then I get to try more things! Not only do they have your staple Mexican food choices like tacos, entradas and quesadillas, but they also serve these delicious fresh fruit drinks like Horchata (Mexican drink made of rice and cinnamon), Auga De Sandia (Watermelon juice) and Agua De Jamaica (Mexican Hibiscus Tea). To see the full menu click here.

The restaurant it self is cozy and the front is wide open so passerby's can feel welcome to join in. With folding tables and chairs, the air-condition-free atmosphere just makes sense. In the center of the restaurant sits a vintage trailer where the food orders come out of. The music is bumping and you can tell that everyone is having a great time at this Mexican escape.

What are you waiting for? Come join the fiesta already! Tacombi is located at 267 Elizabeth Street in New York, New York. For more information visit their website here.
